is it worth it?
by jwbot ini have a livejournal, and i have recently started a community called jw_discussion as a way for me to heal.
i wanted it to be a place where current jw's could go and ask questions and those who were ex or just curious to do the same.
it was neither a pro- nor anti- community.

molina plays football as a goalkeeper for deportivo la coruna, and only as late as this past november did he get the all clear after months of hard treatment.
he thought he would never live, never mind play again.

Really? Ever been to the San Siro?
On UK tv there was a programme on every saturday morning about Italian football and every sunday they shown a live match. It was great, but then the idiots who run Channel 4 decided to just take it off. Don't get me started on that, but concerning the guy who presented it, James Richardson. Exellent presenter.
I went to the San Siro to watch Milan vs Inter. Before the game, or the day before, I actually seen this James Richardson guy at a Cafe, presenting the programme. Then back at the San Siro, I could actually spot him in the media terrace with Robbie Elliott. And what a great game I must add. Shevchenko - great player.
It's a long way from DC United. How is Landon Donovan these days? I thought he played for them

Another question, please?
by irishayes inin reading a lot of the posts, and in trying to digest all the teachings and then changes in teachings, it makes me wonder, does the church have preachers who have gone to a school and studied scripture?
or do they just study the wbts publications?
there are lots of seminaries where christian preachers study but are there wbts seminaries?

Well, according to the Watchtower, Jehovah himself elects people within the congregations to teach others.
Therefore, apparently, such elders are God ordained to teach the rest of the flock, no matter how low IQ they have. I know of one elder, no offense but boy is he simple. He was in the army for quite some time, but obviously thats all behind him and he is now qualified. He used to sit there at the book study mentioning how 'nobody else knows these things' and 'what more can I say? What more can I say...'
Out of all the elders I ever knew, I can seriously only mention one man who was an exellent teacher, top quality... although it was a shame what he was teaching. Still, a great guy.
